Description

Results oriented and attention to detail in performance execution, evidenced through current positions such as National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, District Sales Manager, or Distributor Managers in other consumer packaged goods organizations. Reports to: National Director Trade Development

 Primary Responsibilities:
 
Ensure the proper management of National Accounts.  This will include: 
·         Meet or exceed the Sales Volume Plan outlined for National Accounts.
·         Sell in and gain distribution of pre-paid long distance calling cards (PPLD) and financial services products.
·         Deliver budgeted volume and profit. Development and implementation of trade/consumer programs that exceed budgeted volume and profit.
·         Development of business relationships, leveraging relationships to drive business results.
·         Implements nationally themed promotions in assigned accounts ensuring prominence and domination of promotion vs. competition.
·         The National Account Manager will develop, deliver and execute business plans against assigned categories. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  a) developing account level plans in market that will impact shelf space, merchandising, advertising, promotions and pricing;
  b) tracking the execution of objectives to ensure volume and profit targets are met by customer in market;
  c) leading the development of annual customer plan that sets objectives to support all brands through merchandising, promotions, advertising, shelf space, pricing and new products;
  d) leading post promotion analysis and revising future programs as necessary; 
  e) conducting a formal business review and mid year update to executives at key account headquarters (where applicable); and
  f) leading trade planner development/maintenance.



Ensure the proper management of National Accounts.  This will include: 
·         Work with IT in an effort to build retailer specific initiatives that require software integration (POSA cards, etc.)
·         Maintains store surveys on each account to ensure program performance and measurement (both retail and financial compliance) 


Organizational and Administration duties.  This will include: 
·         Proficient with Microsoft productivity (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc
·         Weekly reporting activities·         Communications with national sales organization  


Additional Responsibilities.  This will include: 
·         Assist in creating, and participate in retailer and other community promotional events.
·         Travel required, approximately 50%
·         Previous experience in developing peers or subordinates is required.
·         Previous experience in a fast paced and highly collaborative environment is critical
·         Previous experience in managing expenses, trade budgets, and volume forecasting is required.
·         Foster and perpetuate an environment of teamwork with non direct reports.  Sharing of best practices and open communication interpersonally.
·         Compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual.
·         Participation in training sessions when assigned.

·         If assigned a Company vehicle – use in accordance with company's policies.




Requirements

Experience and Education 
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • Previous experience working in a direct store delivery (DSD) sales environment, preferably in Marketing or Management capacities
  • 2 years experience in Financial Services industry
  • College degree preferred but not mandatory
 Industry Experience 
  • DSD organizations such as Frito Lay, Pepsi, Anheuser Busch, etc.
  • 7+ years experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry including 5 years account management experience
  • 2+ years experience in financial services (FS) industry
Bilingual (Spanish / English) Valid driver’s licenseReliable insured transportation 7 days a week operation with occasional weekend work required
