Job Description:
A Sales Engineer at EDT will:
* Cultivate and support new business growth in markets of Latin America
* Tailor and effectively sell EDT's products and values to the paper industry
* Travel to customer sites to lead mill trials and manage product use
* Provide ongoing customer service as a consultant to mill management
* Work closely with other members of EDT's field sales/service group and help offer customized, mill-specific treatments to reduce total mill costs, improve pulp quality, streamline mill operations, and enable environmental compliance
* Create, gather, and analyze data, build functional databases and graphs, and present results to the customer and broader EDT team
* Analyze a mill's performance, create, and make presentations to mill management
Key skill areas:
* Technical background in Math, Engineering, Chemistry, and Pulp and Paper Science
* Data Analysis and Excel computer skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
* Excellent negotiation and confident value-added selling ability
* Distinctive technical sales accomplishments
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Requirements |
Job Qualifications:
* Technical undergraduate degree in engineering (mechanical engineering or chemical engineering), pulp and paper science, or chemistry required
* 5 years work experience in industry sales
* Experience with pulp and paper mills or other process industry plant operations is a plus
* Willingness to travel
* Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese as a native speaker
